Space Lichen Snack

Space Lichen Snack

This packaging design proposal is suitable for small aperitif snacks in space. It consists of two components, a ring and a film. After the film has been removed, the packaging can be spinned around its own axis in zero gravity. The centrifugal force pushes the food into the ring of the packaging, preventing food flyaways.

The lichens are grown and harvested on a Mars orbital station. Briefly fried in algae oil, you get a delicious snack for in between or as an aperitif. Preferable the snack would be paired with a dry white wine. The used lichens are also well suited for spaceship cultivation on long deep space explorations.
